Kara Del Curto, FNP
Kara is a Family Nurse Practitioner and a 2012 graduate of Idaho State University with a Master’s in Nursing. Kara is dedicated to providing comprehensive medical care, including mental health, for those in rural and underserved communities.
Mary Goldstein, LCSW, CADC III
Mary Goldstein is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in individual, couples, and family therapy. She uses a practical, down-to-earth approach to life’s challenges. Mary is trained in mental health diagnosis and treatment. She’s also skilled in working with eating disorders, substance abuse, codependency and other addictions. Mary was raised in the city but spent summers as a farmworker. She moved to La Grande for the love of rural living. “Most of life’s challenges are gifts with fangs. They are not signs of weakness, but opportunities for learning and growth.”
Jeff Harman, LPC
Jeff Harman has been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 1991. He earned his Master of Arts in Counseling from Western Evangelical Seminary. Jeff is skilled as a therapist for both children and adults to treat mental health and behavioral issues. In addition, he also works with couple’s and performs mediation services.
Nancy Anderson, LPC, CADC III, NNC
Nancy Anderson joined Blue Mountain Associates in August of 2015. She brings a wealth of experience to her private practice, including individual therapy, child and family therapy, mental health crisis work and behavioral therapy. She earned her MA in Counseling Psychology from Walla Walla University. Nancy is a trained EMDR clinician and uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy as the main approaches to patient issues. The underlying tenet to all her work is the belief that patients hold the key to their own wellness; and the role of the clinician is to encourage, support and stay present with the patient on their journey. She has a lifelong passion for reading and learning.
Steven Eder, M.A. Psychological Associate
Steve Eder is a Licensed Psychologist Associate, # 5021. He has been licensed since 1992 through the Oregon Board of Psychologist Examiners. Mr. Eder offers individual (any age), family and marital counseling, and psychological testing to the public. Mr. Eder’s uses cognitive-behavioral therapy as his primary counseling method.
Brittany Pryce, MSW, CSWA, CADC I
Brittany is a Master’s level Social Worker. Brittany in a 2009 graduate of Eastern Oregon University with a degree in Anthropology/Sociology. Brittany is a 2015 graduate of the University of California with a Master’s in Social Work. Brittany is trained in mental health diagnoses and treatment. She has experience with a variety of social issues including domestic violence, substance use and addiction, and relationship issues.
Sherry Forsyth, CADC II, CAGC II, QMHA
Clinical Director
Sherry Forsyth has been an Alcohol and Drug counselor for 14 years. She has earned her Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor Level II and Certified Gambling Addiction Counselor Level II. Sherry has experience with a variety of addiction and gambling issues. She provides Individual and Group Counseling services. Sherry was elected Counselor of the Year 2013-2014 by the Oregon Women’s Commission. Sherry is passionate about helping addicted people achieve recovery and quality of life.
Heidi Hug CADC II, CRM
Heidi is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor II. Heidi is certified to facilitate Moral Reconation Therapy. Heidi’s expertise includes treatment related to addiction, domestic violence, trauma, and family issues.
Julie Bean, CADC I
Julie Bean is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor I and a graduate of Eastern Oregon University with a degree in Anthropology/Sociology. She has empathy for people that suffer with addiction, and sympathizes with the struggles they have in recovery. Julie dedicated to educating others about the diseases caused by chemical dependency, and to enhance their self-esteem and personal growth. Julie’s expertise include DUII Education/Treatment and Relapse Prevention.
Michelle Frizzell, CADCI, CHW
Michelle is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor I and Certified Community Health Worker, providing client-centered addiction treatment. Michelle is dedicated to helping those suffering from addiction. Michelle has expertise in treating Opiate Dependence and gender specific issues related to addiction.
Marylyn Sumano Champlin, RN, CHW
Marylyn Sumano Champlin was born and raised in Mexico City, Mexico. She immigrated to the United States in 1989. In 1997, she joined the US Army and as an EMT for 4 years. In 2003 Marylyn graduated the University of Alaska with a degree in Business. In 2015, Marylyn graduated Magna Cum Laude from Eastern Oregon University and Oregon Health and Science University with a degree in Nursing. She joined the team at Blue Mountain Associates in 2016 to specialize in Mental Health and Addiction nursing. She is passionate about working with underserved communities.
